Proudmans is delighted to introduce our newest solicitor, Ms Anjali Shah, a recently qualified solicitor specialising in private family law. Anjali brings a thoughtful, compassionate and determined approach to her work, with particular expertise in supporting survivors of domestic abuse through some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

Before qualifying as a solicitor, Anjali studied Industrial Economics at the University of Nottingham before completing both the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Law, achieving distinctions in each. During her two years of training, she developed a focused practice in family law, representing clients in Family Law Act applications, including non-molestation and occupation orders, alongside private law children proceedings and financial remedy matters.

Anjali has represented clients in complex fact-finding hearings, contested child arrangements proceedings and urgent injunction applications. In one particularly significant case, she secured final orders allowing a mother and her children to remain safely abroad after fleeing domestic abuse, demonstrating both strategic precision and a deep understanding of the realities faced by survivors.

As a trauma-informed practitioner, Anjali is committed to ensuring every client feels genuinely heard as well as expertly represented. Her empathetic yet rigorous approach has earned praise from clients who describe her as someone who helped them find their voice at a time when they felt they had none.

Anjali's appointment reflects Proudmans' continued commitment to investing in exceptional legal talent and strengthening our specialist family law team. As the firm continues to grow, we remain focused on providing outstanding legal representation combined with trauma-informed support.
