Acted for a mother in a successful appeal against a final child arrangements order. Secured an urgent stay preventing the order from taking effect, obtained permission to appeal on all seven grounds, and successfully represented the mother at the appeal hearing. The appeal was allowed on all seven grounds, including procedural unfairness in findings of alienating behaviour, the treatment of domestic abuse allegations, failures to provide appropriate special measures, departure from Cafcass recommendations, the exclusion of IDVA evidence, the imposition of a barring order, and ordering extensive contact without proper welfare analysis. The final order was set aside, and the case remitted to the Family Court for urgent reconsideration.

Acted pro bono through Proudmans for journalist Jessica Bradley, securing an order granting restricted access to, and permission to report on, expert psychological reports in four concluded private family law cases. The judgment balanced open justice with children’s welfare, with the court recognising the public interest engaged by allegations of parental alienation and domestic abuse.
