An exciting opportunity has arisen at Proudman's; a specialist family law firm with a trauma-informed approach, committed to representing victim-parents and private clients in the family courts.
We are seeking a solicitor with 1-3 years PQE to join our team.
Mandatory requirements
Qualified solicitor with 1–3 years’ PQE.
Minimum 12 months’ post-qualified experience in family law working with private clients.
Experience in private law children matters and financial remedy proceedings.
Experience preparing for and attending fact-finding hearings.
Experience in final welfare hearings.
Experience managing cases involving serious allegations, including rape, domestic abuse, and coercive and controlling behaviour, and understanding the impact on children and parents. Understanding of how “parental alienation” can be weaponised and experience of systemic failures in family courts.
Experience liaising with experts and managing expert evidence.
Experience instructing counsel.
Experience preparing court bundles.
Strong alignment with the firm’s values in representing survivor parents.
Hard-working, conscientious, and committed to excellence.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within a small team.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
Experience with time recording and demonstrated ability to meet billing and performance targets.
Willingness to travel to court across the country for client needs when required.
