Anjali Shah
Solicitor

Anjali Shah is a recently qualified solicitor specialising in private family law. She studied Industrial Economics at the University of Nottingham before completing the GDL and LPC at the University of Law, achieving distinctions in both.
Her practice covers Family Law Act applications, including non-molestation and occupation orders, alongside Private Law Children proceedings and Financial Remedy matters. During her two years of training, Anjali developed a focused practice representing survivors of domestic abuse, bringing careful preparation and clear-eyed advocacy to cases where the stakes could not be higher. She has represented clients in complex Fact Finding Hearings, contested child arrangements proceedings and has helped clients secure urgent protective injunctions. In one notable matter, she secured final orders enabling a mother and her children to remain safely in another country after fleeing domestic abuse, an outcome that required both strategic precision and an acute understanding of the intersection between family law and the realities of abuse.
As a trauma-informed practitioner, Anjali represents her clients with empathy, sensitivity and rigour. She understands that for many survivors who come to Proudmans, legal proceedings follow years of harm, and she is committed to ensuring that every client feels genuinely heard, not just legally represented. Clients have described Anjali as someone who helped them find their voice at a time when they felt they had none, and who stood by them and helped them through one of the most difficult experiences of their lives.
As a member of Toastmasters, Anjali channels her passion for public speaking into her advocacy, ensuring her clients' voices are heard with clarity and conviction.
