Manveet embodies the fearless advocacy and trauma-informed approach that defines Proudmans as a boutique firm committed to doing things differently. This award recognises her role in advancing how domestic abuse is understood and addressed within the family courts.

Her deep understanding of the dynamics of abuse strengthens the representation we provide to survivors and helps ensure women and children are properly supported in navigating a deeply challenging family justice system.

Proudmans is a boutique law firm specialising in family law, known for its fearless advocacy and unwavering commitment to representing women and children. Founded by Dr Charlotte Proudman, the firm takes a trauma-informed approach to legal practice, combining legal expertise with a deep understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse. The firm is committed to challenging systemic inequalities within the family justice system and delivering strategic, compassionate representation.

We were also delighted that Right to Equality, founded and co-directed by Dr Charlotte Proudman, was awarded Non For Profit Organisation of the year at the Women and Diversity in Law awards 2026.

This award was in recognition of their work to repel the presumption of parental involvement in family courts. The pro-contact culture in family courts is a problem that we continue to tackle at Proudmans, case by case, ensuring that children and survivors of abuse are safeguarded from their abusers.

We look at each case to see where the law needs to change, advocating for our clients in the courtroom as well as working alongside Right to Equality to push for systemic reform.

Thank you to the judges, and congratulations to the other nominees and winners.
